During this time of crisis, Willem van Iperen, who was a school teacher, entered into employment with Hendrik Groeneweg as a representative and expanded the trading activities. |

Jan Bakker joined the company. |

1956 - |
Willem van Iperen took over the company from Hendrik Groeneweg, and the company was then called 'Kunstmest en Graanhandel, voorheen H.J. Groeneweg' (‘Fertilizer and Grain trade, formally H.J. Groeneweg’). |

The name of the company was changed to Van Iperen. |

1963 - |
Herman Molendijk joined the company and started a new commercial activity: advice and sales of crop protection agents. |

Jan Bakker became a shareholder of Van Iperen. |

1970 - |
The OBOB (Oud-Beijerlands Overslag Bedrijf V.O.F (Oud-Beijerlands Transhipment Company Partnership)) was set up and in 1973 it moved to premises in Papendrecht, along the Noord river. From then on, Van Iperen stopped unloading ships itself in the port of Oud-Beijerland and also stopped bagging fertilizers. This was now taken over by the OBOB, which later became the TTD. |

Jan Bakker became the owner of Van Iperen. |

Van Iperen still had it premises in Oud-Beijerland. The company bought the former Groenvoederdrogerij green fodder dryers in Westmaas. |

1980 - |
The company moved to Westmaas, a step which marked the beginning of a considerable increase in turnover and the number of staff. |

1981 - |
On 30 November, Westmaas became the official company premises, with a staff of 28 people. |

1982 - |
Van Iperen started selling liquid fertilizers. |

1987 - |
Van Iperen started to programme and develop its own software. |

1990 - |
The company was extended by 4000 m2 of ground behind the existing premises. |

1992 - |
A loading and unloading station for liquid fertilizers was built. |

1998 - |
The company was again extended by 2.5 ha of ground behind the existing premises. |

1999 - |
The loading and unloading station for liquid fertilizers was extended. |

2000 - |
The product sector of flower sleeves was started. |

2001 - |
New office space was built. |

2002 - |
The new office was opened. |

2003 - |
The loading and unloading station was further extended; 10 tanks were placed on the premises, for storing liquid fertilizers. |

A new granary was built, measuring 4000 m2. |
